Ascites Assessment

Three tests:

  1. Shifting dullness
    • Percuss midline → flank dullness
    • Roll patient (wait 15s) → no shifting dullness
  2. Fluid thrill
    • Hand on midline, flick other side
    • No transmitted thrill
  3. Succussional splash (mention only)
